The Cuban-born baritone, René Ramos Premier, began his musical studies at the age of 8 as a pianist. Then he trained in choir direction and musicology at the Esteban Salas Regional Conservatory of Music in Santiago De Cuba. Passionate about singing, he decided to pursue his training as a lyric singer at the Higher Institute of Arts in Havana. There, he participated in numerous concerts and festivals, including the prestigious National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, the Ars Longa Early Music Ensemble and the professional choir Vocal Leo which brought him to the international scene.

Vocal Leo also participates in several creations of contemporary Cuban composers. Arrived in Paris early 2013, he became a member of the young choir Nocturnal directed by Sylvie Colas and, moreover, quickly joined Les Métaboles ensemble directed by Léo Warynski. In order to perfect his vocal technique, he entered the singing class of Mary Saint-Palais at the Conservatoire de Vincennes as well as the class of Jean-Bernard Thomas. In particular, he played the roles of Germort and Barone Douphol in Verdi's La Traviata, Don Giovanni in W.A. Mozart's opera of the same name, and The Clock and The Cat in L’Enfant et les sortilèges, as well as solo parts of Mondonville's De Profundis, George Frideric Handel's Messiah, Rossini's La petite messe solennelle, Gabriel Fauré and Johannes Brahms' Requiem, J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248) and more.

He was also the solo baritone in Olivier d'Ormesson's Requiem with ensemble La Tempête directed by Simon-Pierre de Camboulas released on record in 2015. Since December 2014, he is a member of the supernumerary choir of the Opéra National de Paris. Member of du T&M Atelier Théâtre et Musique de Paris, he joined the ensemble of soloists for the creation of the opera Giordano Bruno by the Italian composer Francesco Filidei, conducted by Peter Rundel and staged by Antoine Gindt. He regularly performs with Ensemble Les Muses Galantes (Director: Louise Audubert), Les Métaboles, La Tempête, Correspondance, Aedes, and La Chapelle Harmonique (Director: Valentin Tournet).
