The Russian tenor, Mikhail Nor (Russian: Михаил Нор), was born into a family of musicians. He began to sing from early childhood in the church choir, at the age of 14 he became the choir director; solo and choral singing in the church accompanies his entire life. At present, he is a student at the Moscow Conservatory (Department of Solo Singing).
In 2014, Mikhail Nor sang solo in a concert by renowned conductor Michael Schasberger (USA) at the 1st International Choir Congress. In 2015-2017, he was choirmaster of the Moscow State University choir. He has been guest soloist of the Moscow Conservatory Choir and the Moscow State University Choir. Since 2016, he is artist of the vocal ensemble "Intrada" under the direction of Ekaterina Antonenko, participant in the International Festival "Musikfest Erzgebirge" (2016), Dresden Music Festival (2017). He actively performs in chamber music concerts, performing compositions from different eras, from early music to modern. He collaborates with the Collegium Musicum Ensemble, Moscow conducted by Oleg Romanenko in the project «Все кантаты Баха» (All Bach Cantatas) (to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation): in the seasons 2016-2017 - 2019-2020 he performed tenor parts in more than 20 cantatas by J.S. Bach. |
