The Portuguese soprano, choral Conductor and speech therapist, Mariana Moldão Martins, began her music education at the Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa, where she studied Piano with Karl Martin Gerhardt and Vocal Technique class with Ana Leonor Pereira and Armando Possante. She attended vocal improvement courses with Claire Vangelisti, Ana Leonor Pereira, Armando Possante and Isabel Alcobia. She has a Masters in Music Teaching, Choral Conducting, from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa.
Mariana Moldão is a member of the Coro Gulbenkian (since 2007), Officium Ensemble and MediæVox Ensemble and regularly collaborates with other vocal groups, such as Capella Patriarchal, Voces Caelestes, among others. She participated in several recordings with different groups, including the Choeur de Chambre de Namur, Officium Ensemble and Capella Patriarchal. She conducts the Coro da Basílica da Estrela (since 2016), the Coro da Academia da Força Aérea ( (since 2020) and the Animato Choir (employees of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation). She was Choir teacher at the Escola de Música do Colégio Moderno (2015-2021).
At the same time, Mariana Moldão is a speech therapist, working at Hospital da Luz Lisboa and in a private practice, and is a member of the Voice Department of the Portuguese Society of Speech Therapy. |
