The Chinese mezzo-soprano, Jiaying Lin, discovered her passion for choral music at a young age and has since gained a wealth of diverse experience. During her bachelor's degree in voice/musical theatre at the Folkwang Universität der Künste under Martin Wölfel, she sang as a substitute in the chorus of the Musiktheater in Revier. In 2023, she began her master's studies in Lied and concert performance at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Köln in the class of Mario Hoff.
Jiaying Lin's repertoire spans various eras and styles, from Baroque music to contemporary compositions. She regularly performs as a guest artist at renowned theatres, including the Schauspielhaus Bochum and the Theater Dortmund, where she works as a substitute in various productions. She has been a permanent member NDR Vokalensemble (Director: Klaas Stok) since October 2024. |
