Eketerina Liberova (Soprano)

Born: December 24, 1977 - Moscow, Rusia

The Russian soprano, Eketerina Liberova [Russian: Екатерина Либерова], began her musical education as a pianist (she graduated from the Gnesins Moscow Children's Music School in piano), but gradually it became clear that singing occupies the main place in her life. For several years, she was engaged in singing under the guidance of an outstanding singer and famous teacher T.I. Loshmakova; In 1995, she entered the Academy of Choral Art (Академия хорового искусства) in Moscow in the department of solo singing (class of T.D. Baykova). She won Diploma of the All-Russian Festival of Young Performers. It was within the walls of the Academy that a love of early music was born - the study program of students included the study of vocal and choral music of the late Renaissance and Baroque. Contact with the music of J.S. Bach, Purcell, Antonio Vivaldi, the first acquaintance with the work of world-class musicians - experts in the field of authentic performance determined the musical aesthetic priorities of the young singer. She is Laureate of an international competition.

At the end of the Academy, Eketerina Liberova successfully performed as a soloist in the chamber choir ensemble in Moscow and many cities of Russia, as well as Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Poland. She also began her active collaboration with leading Russian musicians in the field of authentic performance, solo concert activity and work in the Canto vivo ensemble, to which she pays the most attention.

At different stages, the singing activity of Eketerina Liberova is connected with the theatre: soloist of the opera studio Gnesins; took part in the work of the theater workshop of A. Rybnikov, a participant in the theater project of the early music ensemble “La Stravaganza”, the Open Baroque Opera Studio (St. Petersburg).

Eketerina Liberova, as an active participant and listener, constantly takes part in master-classes conducted by Russian and foreign masters of solo and ensemble singing (N. Andguladze, Emma Kirkby, L. Firlinger, M. van Lieshout, M. Bisley, Andrew Lawrence-King et al.).

She is a regular participant in Russian and foreign festivals of early and chamber music:
