The American soprano, Rose Lewis, obrtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance Grade: Summa cum laude (2012-2016) and her Master of Music degree in Voice Performance (2017-2019), both from Boston University, where she received the Ellalou Dimmock Vocal Honors Award. During her studies there, she performed in several operas with the Boston University Opera Institute.
Rose Lewis is specializing in early and ensemble music. For the past several years, she has served at Marsh Chapel at Boston University as a Choral Fellow, and more recently as Music Program Administrator. In additional to regular services, we perform an annual Bach Cantata Series at Marsh Chapel and other concert chamber works throughout the academic year. As a regular member of the Handel & Haydn Society Chorius since 2017, she has had the joy to perform such works as George Frideric Handel's Messiah, Israel in Egypt, and the commercially recorded Haydn's Theresienmesse. In their critically acclaimed 2023 concert Crossing The Deep, she as featured as a soloist and narrator. Other performances in the area include concerts with the Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Chorus Pro Musica, and the Neponset Choral Society as a soloist for their 2019 Performance of Francis Poulenc's Gloria.
Rose Lewis is currently based in Boston. Outside of her musical endeavors, she can mostly be found crafting, playing board games with friends and family. |
