Since the early years of her study, Agnes van Laar has performed frequently as a soloist. She has appeared live from the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ on NPO Radio 4 (performing works by Monteverdi and Gesualdo) under the baton of Klaas Stok. She also performed as a soloist with Florilegium Musicum Rotterdam (J.S. Bach's Oster-Oratorium BWV 249), with Het Gelders Orkest conducted by Joop Schets (Felix Mendelssohn's Elijah), with Consensus Vocalis and the Parnassus Ensemble conducted by Klaas Stok (including J.S. As an ensemble singer, Agnes van Laar sang with Vox Luminis (Director: Lionel Meunier), with the Nederlandse Bachvereniging (Director: Shunske Sato), and with Bach Collegium Japan (Director: Masaaki Suzuki).

Agnes van Laar is also in demand for later repertoire. For example, at the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam, in a performance featuring highlights from opera history, she performed the roles of the Countess (W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro) and Frau Reich (Nicolai, Falstaff).

Next to her passion for performing, Agnes van Laar provides with a lot of enthusiasm music lessons in group 1 (age: 4) to group 8 (age: 12) in primary education. She currently lives in Amersfoort.
