The Russian soprano Ekaterina Krasko, began her musical training at the age of 5 with piano lessons and choral singing. She completed her studies at the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov (2009-2014); she gained her first operatic and concert experience as a soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre and with the St. Petersburg Concert Choir. In 2015, she was finalist in the Opera section of the Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition in San Marino. In 2020, she came to Salzburg to further her vocal studies at the Universität Mozarteum with Wolfgang Holzmair, Josef Wallnig, and Gaiva Bandzinaite. As part of the Austrian master-classes, she received important artistic guidance from Brigitte Geller, Martin Vácha, and Claudia Visca. Subsequently, she began studying instrumental and vocal pedagogy (IGP) at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (MDW) in the class of Martin Vácha, as well as Baroque singing at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg with Andreas Scholl.
In Salzburg, Ekaterina Krasko is regularly engaged as a soloist at the Dom and the Basilika Maria Plain and participates in projects of the Salzburger Bachgesellschaft. In the field of contemporary music, she regularly collaborates with the Ensemble Cantando Admont and the Neue Oper Wien. In 2022, she made her debut with the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde (Friends of Music Society) with the Ensemble Kontrapunkte under the direction of Gottfried Rabl. She currently lives in Salzburg, Austria. |
