Dmitry Khromov (Tenor)

Born: Fryazino (Moscow oblast), Russia

The Russian tenor, Dmitry Khromov [Russian: Дмитрий Хромов], graduated in 2006 from th Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS), the faaculty of the musical theatre, professor Dmitry Bertman's workshop. While studying he has been performing in productions of the Moscow musical theatre Helikon-opera, where he has impersonated the parts of Bomeliy (The Tsar’s bride by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov), Basilio (Le nozze di Figaro by W.A. Mozart), Flavio (Norma by V. Bellini), Chevalier (Les Dialogues des Carmelites by Francis Poulenc).

In 2006 Dmitry Khromov joined the troupe of the Helikon-opera theatre. His repertoire is constantly growing and enriching. On the Helikonian stage he has successfully impersonated over 25 operstic parts: Lensky (Eugene Onegin by P.I. Tchaikovsky), Andrey (Mazeppa by P.I. Tchaikovsky), Lïkov (The Tsar’s bride by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Mozart (Mozart and Salieri by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Sergey (Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk district by Dmitri Shostakovich), Alfred (La traviata by G. Verdi), Riccardo (Un ballo in maschera by G. Verdi), Claudio (Das Liebesverbot by R. Wagner), Prince Felix Yusupov (Rasputin by J. Reise), Spalanzani (Les contes d'Hoffmann by J. Offenbach), Chevalier (Les Dialogues des Carmelites by F. Poulenc), Tsarevich Gvidon (The Golden Cockerel by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Pong (Turandot by G. Puccini) etc.

Repeatedly participated in the “Na Bassejnoj” Kaliingrad Theatre's productions, Youth program of the Department of Culture of Moscow "Open Stage", in the numerous art festivals, including: “To the 100th anniversary of Olivier Messiana” (2008), Peter Dvorsky in Slovakia (2011), “Young Ambassadors of Music” in Montreal (Canada, 2012).

In 2016 Dmitry Khromov has impersonated the part of Flavio on the concert performance of the opera Norma by V. Bellini. The performance took place at the Tchaikovsky Concer Hall with the participation of the world opera star Maria Guleghina and Helikon-opera’s soloists, choir and orchestra. He successfully co-ooperated with the outstanding conductors - V. Ponkin. E. Brazhnik, K. Chudovsky, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, V. Fedoseev.

As part of the Helikon-opera troupe Dmitry Khromov is often and successfully touring both in Russia (St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Khabarovsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, etc.) and abroad (Italy, Spain, Lebanon, Oman, Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia).
