Dutch bass-baritone, Geert van der Kaaij, began singing as a child, influenced by his mother, who is a choir conductor. He sang as a boy soprano in the choir of Lincoln Cathedral in England. Back in the Netherlands, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in in Voice, Choral and Opera Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag (2016-2021) under Frans Fiselier. He then took lessons with Catrin Wyn-Davies.
Geert van der Kaaij regularly sings with the Chorus of Dutch National Opera (since August 2024). He has also performed as a soloist with various ensembles, including Bachkoor en -orkest Kampen (Directors: Sander van den Houten & Ab Weegenaar). |
