The Belgian lyric baritone, François Héraud, graduated from Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Nantes (2006-2010) and Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris (2010-2013).
François Héraud has worked with renowned conductors such as Hervé Niquet, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Sigvards Kļava, Marcus Creed, and Martina Batic. Lyric baritone, he covers all styles and genres. In the Baroque repertoire, he performed Mercuri in Monteverdi's L'Incoronazione di Poppea under the direction of Jean-Christophe Spinosi, and participated in Lully and Molière's Comédie-ballet Le Sicilien under the direction of Hervé Niquet at the Reims Opera. In the lyric repertoire, he sang Schaunard in Puccini's La Bohème, W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Escamillo in Georges Bizet's Carmen, and Belcore in Donizetti's L'Elisir d'amore. He has also performed in the operetta genre with the Parisian orchestra Les Frivolités Parisiennes and the Brussels Operette Theater at the Royal Flemish Theatre in Brussels.
François Héraud is a regular guest soloist in oratorio. He performed a chamber version of L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with the Mendelssohn Ensemble under the direction of Daniel Rubenstein at the Théâtre Royal du Parc in Brussels. He is principal bass in J.S. Bach's Oster-Oratorium BWV 249 at the Muziegebouw Amsterdam and the Cologne Philharmonic under the direction of counter-tenor Maarten Engeltjes. Most recently, he sang the baritone solos in Carmina Burana at Studio 4 at Flagey in Brussels with the Brussels Young Philharmonic. |
