Simon Gerner (Bass)

Born: Austria

The Austrian bass, Simon Gerner, grew up in the Innviertel region of Austria in a family of musicians and began his musical training early on the piano, organ, and trumpet. Even during his school years, he played in a wide variety of ensembles, from chamber music and symphony orchestras to brass bands. His passion for singing developed in 2020 when he began studying to become a teacher of music and English. Four years later, he switched to vocal studies with Kerstin Turnheim.

Simon Gerner as since performed in various vocal ensembles in Salzburg and Upper Austria; most recently as a choir singer in the Salzburger Bachchor and as a soloist in the musical Hammer and the opera Jephté. He is also a member of Vokalensemble Sonance.
