The Italian organist, harpsichordist, choral conductor and tenor singer, Luca Dellacasa, studied at Liceo Scientifico G. D. Cassini '89 in Genova (1985-1990), obtaining diploma. He studied Organ & Organ Composition at Conservatorio "Nicolò Paganini" in Genova (1992-1999); Harpsichord at Conservatorio di Musica "Nicolò Paganini" in in Genova (2000-2003); Organ & Continuo playing with Lorenzo Ghielmi, Antonio Frigé at Accademia Internazionale della Musica, Milano (2000-2004); Polyphony of the Renaissance Grade110/110 cum laude at Conservatorio "Tito Schipa" in Lecce (2005-2007; thesis on "Giovanni Battista Pinello's motets for five voices", relator Professor Diego Fratelli); Music Pedagogy at Società Italiana per l'Educazione Musicale (2010),where he obtained Master in "La voce musicale, linee guida per una educazione vocale" (Professor Marida Tosto); Choral conducting at Progetto Chorus 2011 with Professors Pier Paolo Scattolin, Roberta Paraninfo, Michele Napolitano, Maurizio Guerneri; Gregorian Chant at Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra (2012-2014). He obtained Master in Baroque Singing at Conservatorio di Musica "Guido Cantelli" in Novara (2015-2017; thesis on Barbarino and Caccini madrigals for solo voice, relator Professor Roberto Balconi). He has studied the sources and practices of early and Baroque music with Emilia Fadini, Christopher Stembridge, Lorenzo Ghielmi, Antonio Frigé, Diego Fratelli, Andrea Marcon, Jesper Christensen, Peter Phillips of The Tallis Scholars, and Gregorian chant and medieval music with Fulvio Rampi, Giacomo Baroffio and the La Reverdie ensemble. He has participated in seminars and courses for choral conducting with professors such as Ida Tosto, Roberta Paraninfo, Pier Paolo Scattolin, Maurizio Guernieri, Michele Napolitano.
Luca Dellacasa plays as organist and harpsichordist, soloist and in chamber ensembles, collaborating with various ensembles of medieval and Baroque music such as Orientis Partibus, Il Concento Ecclesiastico, I musici del Brandale, Il cimento degli affetti, Schola Cantorum S. Stefano, I Polifonici di Genova, Orchestra Regionale Ligure.
Luca Dellacasa carries on an intense activity as a tenor singer, performing in Italy and abroad as a soloist tenor and in prestigious ensembles such as Il Canto di Orfeo in Milan (since July 2003), L’Homme Armé in Florence (since 2008), Ensemble Micrologus (since 2012, also organ player), Ottetto della Cappella del Duomo di Firenze (since 2012), Cappella Musicale del Duomo di Novara (since June 2016), Odhecaton, il Coro Barocco della Mitteleuropa, Ensemble Magnificat, Orientis Partibus.
Luca Dellacasa is the founder and conductor of the chorus of white voices of "I piccoli cantori di Casella" (The little singers of Casella), of the "Santo Stefano di Casella" Choir and of the ensemble "Cantus Januae": with these ensmble he faces the Gregorian repertoire, with the conscience that it should become important part and fixed point in the study of choral repertoire already at an early age. He was Director and Chorus Master of the Mailänder Kantorei from 2013 to January 2016. He currently lives in Genova, Italy. |
