Collegium Musicum 90 (Vocal & Instrumental Ensemble)

Founded: 1990 - England

Collegium Musicum 90 (= CM90) was jointly founded in 1990 by Simon Standage and Richard Hickox for the historical performance of the baroque repertoire and is now established as one of the foremost groups of its kind. It has appeared in Europe and at UK festivals, has broadcast on Radio 3 and has recorded a large number of CD’s as part of its exclusive contract with Chandos.

Notable engagements have included appearances at the City of London Festival, the Cheltenham Festival and the BBC Promenade Concerts. Collegium Musicum 90’s recording of Dido and Aeneas was the soundtrack for a TV production of the opera shown on BBC2 as part of the BBC’s tercentenary commemorations of Purcell.
