Edmond Chu (Tenor)

Born: November 23, ____ - Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Chinese tenor, Edmond Chu (Chinese nickname: 朱仔), is currently studying in the Master Programme of Classical Vocal Studies at the Royal Conservatory The Hague, with his teacher Amand Hekkers.

Edmond Chu has actively performed as a concert soloist with various organizations in the Netherlands. His projects encompass music of Baroque to 20th-century music. His recent solo performances include W.A. Mozart's opera Idomeneo in Floris Visser's production as Idomeneo, etc. His upcoming performances include W.A. Mozart's Opera: Le nozze di Figaro as Basilio, Georg Philipp Telemann's Cantata: Uns ist ein Kind geboren (TWV 1:1452), W.A. Mozart's Requiem in D minor (K. 626), Joseph Haydn's Missa in Angustiis, J.S. Bach's Cantata: Laß, Fürstin, laß noch einen Strahl (BWV 198). On September 7, 2019 he married Lai Ngok Man.
