The Dutch mezzo-soprano, Marijke Beute, studied Psychology at Radboud University (2003-2005); obtained her Bachelor of Education degree as Music Teacher with Music Subjects: Classical Singing and Harp from ArtEZ University of the Arts (2005-2009); graduated cum laude from the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen in Choir Conducting (2016-2019) and in Singing (2017-2021), studying with Hanneke de Wit. She has received lessons and master-classes from Paul Triepels, Nico van der Meel, and Pieter-Jan Belder, and is currently taking singing lessons with Margreet Honig.
Since 2017, Marijke Beute has performed as a soloist in Rossini's Le petite messe solennelle, Maurice Duruflé's Requiem, W.A. Mozart's Requiem, J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion BWV 245 and Matthäus-Passion BWV 244
, George Frideric Handel's Messiah, Camille Saint-Saëns' Oratorio de Noel, Antonio Vivaldi's Magnificat, Langlais's de solomis Missa in simplicitate, and numerous cantatas by J.S. Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, Micheelsen, and Louis Andriessen. She played Cherubino in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro at the Opera aan Zee Festival, Hanns Eisler's Die Mutter, and Zelatrice in Puccini's Suor Angelica, conducted by Arnaud Oosterbaan. She regularly performs Lieder recitals featuring songs by Johannes Brahms, R. Wagner, Alban Berg, and Schubert, among others, and has sung Gustav Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen with the Fries Kamerorkest conducted by Ronald Slager. In the fall of 2025, she will perform Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana.
In addition, Marijke Beute worked as Music Teacher at Muziekschool Emmen (January 2011-May 2014); and as Assistant Singing Teacher at Prins Claus Conservatorium (September 2021). She also teaches privately since (January 2011). She currently lives in Groningen |
