The Hungarian tenor, László Beöthy-Kiss, completed his studies at the Béla Bartók Secondary School of Music (Bartók Béla Zeneművészeti Szakközépiskolában) (1992-1996) and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music (Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetemen) (1997-2003). Among his teachers were: Mária Fekete, Éva Mohos-Nagy, Boldizsár Keönch, József Hormai, Magda Nádor, Géza Oberfrank. He also participated in the master-classes of Anna Reynolds (1996, 2003) and Júlia Hamari (2003, 2004). In the 2003-2004 season he was a member of the Opera Studio, and then a private singer at the Hungarian State Opera. In 2004 he was a finalist at the Lugoj International Tenor Competition, in 2008 he became one of the winners of the Mezzo Opera Competition and Festival in Bremen-Szeged.
László Beöthy-Kiss' most notable roles include: Paolino in Cimarosa's Il matrimonio segreto; Triquet in Tchaikovsky's Onegin; Beppo in Leoncavallo's Der Bajazzo; Podesta in W.A. Mozart's La finta giardiniera; Pedrillo in W.A. Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail; Don Basilio, Don Curzio in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro; Tamino, Monostatos in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte; Antonio in Prokofiev's Betrothal in a Monastery; Spoletta in Puccini's Tosca; Pang in Puccini's Turandot; Aeneas in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas; Count Lerma in Verdi's Don Carlos; David in Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg.
