The American contralto and music administrator, Lisa Barone, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performanc (2010-2014), her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance (2014-2016); and her Professional Studies Certificate in Classical Voice Performance (Sep 2016-May 2017), all from Manhattan School of Music.
Lisa Barone is renowned for her exceptionally velvety voice and magnetic stage presence. She has taken on diverse roles, such as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly with Raylynmor Opera, Despina in W.A. Mozart's Così fan tutte, and Maria Aegyptiaca in Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8. Her repertoire spans from opera to choral works to popular music, having performed in festivals such as the Verdi Square Festival and with the Oratorio Society of New York, where she was Alto Choral Scholar (September 2014-May 2016). She has earned multiple accolades for her excellence in music, including the Alexander Hunt Award, the Candace Macmillen Achtmeyer Award, and the Barbara E. Maze Award for Musical Excellence. She has been Alto Section Leader at First Parish in Brookline in Brookline, Massachusetts (February 2022-July 2024); Artist in Residence at Metropolitan Chorale Inc in Brookline, Massachusetts (since September 2023); and since July 2024, she is Section Leader/Soloist of Hills Church Chancel Choir at Wellesley Hills Congregational Church in Massachusetts.
