The German bass-baritone, Oliver Aigner, studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt am Main and at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. His education was rounded off by private lessons with Kurt Moll and Harald Stamm.
After completing his studies, Oliver Aigner gave guest performances at the opera houses in Bonn, Dortmund and Münster, Kammeroper Köln and Aalto Theater Essen. In September 2002, he participated in the premiere of Deutschland, deine Lieder at the opening of the Ruhr-Triennale; in 2009 he received an engagement at the Theater Lüneburg. As a specialist in the repertoire of W.A. Mozart, he sang there among others Don Alfonso in Cosí fan tutte, Osmin in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, Leporello and Commander in Don Giovanni, but also roles such as Prince Gremin in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin or Jupiter in Orpheus in der Unterwelt. He was also a member of Chorus Musicus Köln (Director: Christoph Spering). |
