The Belgian bass, Benoît Giaux, had earned a degree in piano, before he studied singing in the class of Greta de Reyghere at the Royal Conservatory in Liege, where, after a first prize in 1995, he obtained a diploma with great distinction in 1998.
Benoît Giaux conducts the Choraline, Youth Choir of Namur in 1987, and the Youth Choir of the Royal Opera in Brussels (The Munt) since 1998. As a soloist, he sings in Belgium and abroad under the direction of Jean Tubéry (La Fenice), Philippe Pierlot (Ricercar Consort), Guy Van Waas (Les Agrémens), Pierre Cao (Lorraine Philharmonic).
Benoît Giaux made his debut in the opera La Representatione di Anima e di Corpo by Cavalieri. He often sings famous works such as Mozart's Requiem, Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, George Frideric Handel Messiah and Dixit Dominus, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. |
