Hannes Wagner (Tenor)

Born: Germany

The Grrman tenor, Hannes Wagner, received his musical education at the Musikgymnasium of the Regensburger Domspatzen. After graduation he spent more than 10 years with the Renner Ensemble Regensburg (1st prize at the Internationalen Kammerchorwettbewerb Marktoberdorf). Parallelly, he was also a singer in the Festspielchor of the Bayreuther Festspiele and the Philharmonischen Chor München.

In addition to his full- time employment at Porsche AG in Stuttgart, Hannes Wagner sings in professional vocal ensembles and choirs, such as Ensemble Cantissimo, Konstanz and the Gaechinger Cantorey (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann) of the Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart) and performs regularly as a soloist. He could be heard, for example, as Evangelist in J.S. Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248) in 2015, and as Evangelist in J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) in April 2017 (with Markuskantorei, Markusorchester & Kammerchor Ostfildern, conducted by Andreas Scheufler).
