The Venezuelan soprano, Samantha Sosa, studies at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester with Professor Katherine Ciesinski for her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance (since 2019; expected graduation: 2023). She was a finalist in two international competitions in 2020. The Classical Singer International Vocal Competition as a musical theater finalist and the Opera Viva competition. She performs early music with the Eastman Collegium and freelances as a jazz vocalist. She performed in Eastman Opera Theatre's fall double bill as the Littler Daughter in Missy Mazzoli's opera Proving Up in November 2021. She sings at the First Baptist Church of Penfield, New York every week. She currently lives in Rochester, New York. |
