Richard Soignon (Tenor)

Born: Brioude, Haute-Loire, France

The F\rench tenor, Richard Soignon, has been singing since the age of 4. At the age of 11, he joined Camerata Brivatensis, a Brivadoise choir specializing in the Renaissance repertoire, and performed in numerous concerts, festivals and musical meetings for 10 years, in France or abroad (Le Puy en Velay, Sarlat, Riquewihr , Venice, Vienna…). He entered the Conservatoire du Puy-en-Velay in 1999, where he began his lyric training in the singing class of Nicole Piras. At the same time, he joined the male octet Voci Da Capella, conducted by Francis Got in Clermont Ferrand. For two seasons, he explored Orthodox sacred music and contemporary music.

In 2001, Richard Soignon began his solo performances with Italian operatic arias during summer tours on 42-43 with the Chabounia family (Belarusian), managed by Art Et Melodie Association. He was Aristide in Les Petites Michus, Messager's operetta conducted by Jean-Louis Jam at the Théâtre de Clermont-Ferrand in 2005; then Orphée in Orphee aux Enfers by Offenbach conducted by Raphaël Brunon at the Théâtre du Puy en Velay in 2006 and 2007. He performed La Petite Messe Solennelle by rossini with pianist Cyril Huve in 2007 at Puy en Velay and in Leipzig. He continued his training during singing courses at the Music Academy of La Chaise Dieu with the counter-tenor Robert Expert.

Since 2009, Richard Soignon has collaborated on various musical projects in Rhône Alpes and Auvergne: with the Ensemble Vocal et du Dauphiné (Director: Thierry Merle), Ensembles Ponot Arvoly (Director: Thierry Reynaud), Sine Nomine directed (Director: Julien Courtois), Ensemble Montluçonnais Scherzi Musicali (Director: Martine Laurent Gaumet). His repertoire is wide: Monteverdi, Allegri, J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, Charles Gounod, Rossini ...
