Birgit Schneider (Soprano)

Born: Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

The German soprano, Birgit Schneider, began with making music in the extended family - the singing was later joined by the recorder and the violin. So her everyday life was always characterized by music school visits, rehearsals and concerts in different cast. Since the beginning of her studies, she has been collecting new musical impressions in various choirs in the field of classical music as well as pop and in the Studentenorchester Münster. She studied studying music education at the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold.

After completing her studies, Birgit Schneider is dedicated to singing with children. Nevertheless, she remains true to Münster and sums in the liveable city of the world as a free music pedagogue. In October 2013, she performed as a soloist programme of English sacred music at Stadt- und Marktkirche St. Lamberti Münster with Kammerchor St. Lamberti, conducted by Alexander Toepper. She is a member of Gächinger Kantorei Stuttgart (Directors: Helmuth Rilling & Hans-Christoph Rademann).
