The Portuguese-born tenor, Nuno Santos, moved to Switzerland in 2003. He obtained hies Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance in piano in 2016, under the guidance of Mauro Harsch and Nora Doallo, alongside the study of singing with Sandra Ranisavljevic-Merz and Barbara Zanichelli. Currently he attends the Marter of Art in Music Pedagogy in singing under the guidance of Luisa Castellani, Barbara Zanichelli and Markus Hadulla. As part of the conservatory he also had the opportunity to work and deepen the German Lieder repertoire with the mezzo-soprano Mitsuko Shirai, the French and operatic repertoire with the baritone Marcin Habela, the choral repertoire with the teacher Andrew Crane and the musical comedy with the maestro Nader Abbassi, set designer Christian Räth and choreographer Daniel Esteve.
Nuno Santos was directed by various masters of national and international fame, as a chorister and soloist, such as Arturo Tamayo (in the 18th season of 900presente, singing the role of Maese Pedro in El Retablo de Maese Pedro by Manuel de Falla), Andreas Laake and Luca Dellacasa, Mark Kölliker, Brunella Clerici and Nader Abassi. In addition, he sang in the Ensemble Soli Deo Gloria conducted by Amos Eicher and Jan-Philip Dolci. His solo repertoire ranges from the early Baroque to the contemporary repertoire, passing from the French, German and Italian Lieder repertoire, to the 18th and early 19th century opera. |
