Miki Nakayama (Soprano)

Born: July 3, 1990 - Kanagawa/Yokohama, Japan

The Japanese soprano, Miki Nakayama (Japanese: 東京藝術大学大学院), graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts (2013-2016). She has won 3rd prize at the 66th Student Music concours of Japan in 2012 and also awarded several prizes. She currently studies at master's course at Tokyo University of the Arts with Tomoko Imazeki and Yoko Ohshima.

Miki Nakayama has appeared as a soloist to perform George Frideric Handel's Messiah, J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor (BWV 232),W.A. Mozart's Requiem, L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Orff's Carmina Burana and many other famous classical works. She held her first recital in 2015, sponsored by Idea Music Academy. She is a member of Bach Collegium Japan (Director: Masaaki Suzuki). She currently lives in Matsudo.
