Floriane Hasler (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: Limoges, France

The French mezzo-soprano, Floriane Hasler, was born into a family of musicians. She joined the Chœur d’adultes de la Maîtrise Notre-Dame at the age of 17, directed by Lionel Sow and Henri Chalet, where she pursued a complete training (analysis, languages, conducting, theater ... ). She received training from teachers such as Rosa Domínguez for vocal technique, Philippe Biros and Yves Castagnet in interpretation and Sylvain Dieudonné for medieval music. In this frame, she attended master-classes (with Margreet Hönig, Anne the Bozec, Gerd Türk ...) and worked under the direction of renowned conductor like Fabio Biondi, Jacques Mercier, Patrick Fournillier, Gustavo Dudamel, and Sir Roger Norrington.

Parallel to her training, Floriane Hasler collaborated with several professional ensembles: La Tempête (Director: Simon-Pierre Bestion) in the Vespro della Beata Vergine by Monteverdi, Chronochromie (Director: Jean-Michel Hasler), Le Balcon (Director: Maxime Pascal) at the Festival de Saint-Denis. She regularly collaborates with the ensemble of soloists Mora-Vocis (Director: Els Janssens-Vanmunster) with whom she recorded a CD of medieval and contemporary music (to be published in spring). She is also a member of Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon). During the summer of 2016, she performed as a soloist in W.A. Mozart's Requiem at the Rocamadour and Sylvanès festivals with the Ensemble Baroque de Toulouse (Director: Michel Brun). At the age of 23, she made her operatic debut as the third Grace in Rossi's Orfeo, conducted by Raphaël Pichon (Opéras de Versailles, Bordeaux and Caen). She currently lives in Paris, France.
