Keiko Enomoto (Soprano)

Born: April 6, ____ - Japan

The Japanese soprano, Keiko Enomoto-Chaintreuil, studied at Waseda University (Class of 2004); and at Musikhochschule Freiburg in Freiburg im Breisgau with Professor Dorothea Wirtz (2007-2013). Further lessons and master-classes with Kurt Widmer, Margreet Honig, Ulrike Sonntag and Gordana Crnkovic exerted important influence on her singing. She is prize-winner and finalist of various competitions, such as Schubert und die Moderne, Carl-Seemann-Wettbewerb, Paula Lindberg Wettbewerb - Das Lied. She is currently studying with Professor Werner Güra at the the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK), heading for a teaching diploma.

From 2012 to 2016, Keiko Enomoto was permanent member of the NDR-Chor (since 2012), since 2017 she forms part of the core group of the Zürcher Sing-Akademie (Director: Timothy Brown). Additionally she worked as a freelancer with the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks, SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart, Vokalensemble Zürich as well as with the Basler Madrigalisten (Director: Fritz Näf).

As a soloist, Keiko Enomoto performed at the festivals Heidelberger Frühling and the Koblenzer Mendelssohntage as well as in the chamber music concert series of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra. With her extensive oratorio repertoire like Symphony No. 9 by L.v. Beethoven; Requiem, Krönungsmesse and Veperae solennes by W.A. Mozart; or Ein deutsches Requiem by Johannes Brahms, she performed in Japan, Germany and Switzerland. She currently lives in Zürich, Switzerland.
