Caroline Arnaud (Soprano)

Born: France

The French soprano, Caroline Arnaud, began her musical studies in the Maîtrise de Radio-France, of which she graduated in 2002. She then joined the Superior Department for Jeunes Chanteurs du CRR de Paris (Jeune Choeur de Paris; Directors: Laurence Equilbey and Geoffroy Jourdain). She attended a complete course of lyric singing at the end of which she obtained a DEM of singing unanimously with honors in 2008. During her studies, she perfected her experience with prestigious conductors as George Priest, René Jacobs, Philippe Herreweghe, Kazushi Ono, Susanna Mälkki ... In 2015, she was the winner of the Concours International de Chant Baroque de Froville.

Caroline Arnaud has performed roles as The Night in The Fairy Queen by H. Purcell, Emilie in Les Indes Galantes by J.P. Rameau, Rizzolina in La Barca by A. Banchieri, the Servant in La Forêt Bleue by L. Aubert, Marie-Antoinette in Le Nègre des Lumières du Chevalier by St. George. She recently performed the Narrator's role in Les Histoires Sacrées by Charpentier, conducted by Sébastien Daucé and directed by Vincent Huguet, at the Théâtre de Caen, Chapelle Royale de Versailles s and Concertgebouw de Bruges.

With the Concertgebouw de Bruges, she was seen in Descente d’Orphée aux Enfers by Charpentier Underworld at the M.A Festival de Bruges and in Rouen as Proserpine, and played Euridice in the Concert Royal de la Nuit touring China. She was entrusted with the role of Daphnée in Descente d’Orphée aux Enfers by Charpentier with Les Talens Lyriques of Christophe Rousset in Basel, and will sing the soprano solo in Campra's Requiem and Rameau's Motet In Convertendo at the Philharmonie de Paris.

Sge sings various repertoires, through the various Baroque ensembles in which she performs as Les Talens Lyriques (Director: Christophe Rousset; since August 2017), Correspondances (Director: Sébastien Daucé), Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon; since December 2016), Vedado (Director: Ronald Martin Alonso), Escadron Volanrt de la Reine (Director: Antoine Touche), Sagittarius (Director: Michel Laplénie), La Rêveuse (Director: Benjamin Perrot).
