Satires on Bach cantatas

Satires on the cantatas

Armagan Ekici
wrote (May 23, 2000):
Also part of the show was a French TV program with Peter Ustinov doing an "impression" of a Bach cantata. I don't want to give away too much; it is hilarious, don't miss it if you happen to bump on it someday somehow.

(To Armagan Ekici) Better even than Ustinov's "impression" is Anna Russell's notorious cantata aria, "Wir gehen in den Automaten", from her routine on the history of the art song. I do not know if this has been reissued on CD, but, if you stumble across it, I am sure that you will agree that it is hilarious.
