Prima Parte

Coro

1

Coro [S, C, T, B]

Oboe d'amore I/II all' unisono, Violino I/II, Viola, Continuo

Schwingt freudig euch empor zu den erhabnen Sternen,
Ihr Zungen, die ihr itzt in Zion fröhlich seid!
Doch haltet ein! Der Schall darf sich nicht weit entfernen,
Es naht sich selbst zu euch der Herr der Herrlichkeit.

Elevatevi con gioia alle stelle supreme,
voi lingue che ora esultate in Sion!
Attente! Il vostro suono non vada lontano,
il Signore della gloria si avvicina.

2

Choral (Duetto) S A

2

Corale (Duetto) [Soprano, Contalto]

Oboe d'amore I col Soprano, Oboe d'amore II coll'Alto, Continuo

Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland,
Der Jungfrauen Kind erkannt,
Des sich wundert alle Welt,
Gott solch Geburt ihm bestellt.

Vieni ora, salvatore dei pagani,
conosciuto come figlio della Vergine,
per il quale tutto il mondo si stupisce
che Dio gli abbia destinato tale nascita.

3

Aria T

3

Aria [Tenore]

Oboe d'amore solo, Continuo

Die Liebe zieht mit sanften Schritten
Sein Treugeliebtes allgemach.
Gleichwie es eine Braut entzücket,
Wenn sie den Bräutigam erblicket,
So folgt ein Herz auch Jesu nach.

L’amore attira a sé dolcemente
e gradualmente il suo amato.
Come una sposa è incantata
alla vista del suo sposo,
così il cuore segue Gesù.

Choral

4

Corale [S, A, T, B]

Oboe d'amore I, Violino I col Soprano, Oboe d'amore II, Violino II coll'Alto, Viola col Tenore, Continuo

Zwingt die Saiten in Cythara
Und lasst die süße Musica
Ganz freudenreich erschallen,
Dass ich möge mit Jesulein,
Dem wunderschönen Bräutgam mein,
In steter Liebe wallen!
Singet,
Springet,
Jubilieret, triumphieret, dankt dem Herren!
Groß ist der König der Ehren.

Suonate le corde a Cytera
e fate risuonare la dolce
musica ricca di gioia,
affinchè io possa camminare con amore
fedele affianco al piccolo Gesù,
il mio meraviglioso sposo!
Cantate,
danzate,
gioite, esultate, ringraziate il Signore!
Grande è il re della gloria.

Seconda Parte

Aria B

5

Aria [Basso]

Violino I/II, Viola, Continuo

Willkommen, werter Schatz!
Die Lieb und Glaube machet Platz
Vor dich in meinem Herzen rein,
Zieh bei mir ein!

Benvenuto, tesoro prezioso!
Amore e fede preparano un posto
per te nel mio cuore puro,
vieni ad abitare in me!

6

Choral T

6

Corale [Tenore]

Oboe d'amore I/II, Continuo

Der du bist dem Vater gleich,
Führ hinaus den Sieg im Fleisch,
Dass dein ewig Gott'sgewalt
In uns das krank Fleisch enthalt.

Tu che sei come il Padre,
conducici alla vittoria sulla carne,
la tua eterna forza divina
allontani le debolezze della carne.

7

Aria S

7

Aria [Soprano]

Violino solo con sordino, Continuo

Auch mit gedämpften, schwachen Stimmen
Wird Gottes Majestät verehrt.
Denn schallet nur der Geist darbei,
So ist ihm solches ein Geschrei,
Das er im Himmel selber hört.

Anche con debole, flebile voce
la maestà di Dio sia onorata.
Poiché un solo suono dello spirito
diventa per lui un potente grido
che può ascoltare anche in cielo.

8

Choral

8

Corale [S, C, T, B]

Oboe d'amore I e Violino I col Soprano, Oboe d'amore II e Violino II coll'Alto, Viola col Tenore, Continuo

Lob sei Gott, dem Vater, g'ton,
Lob sei Gott, sein'm eingen Sohn,
Lob sei Gott, dem Heilgen Geist,
Immer und in Ewigkeit!

Sia lode a Dio, il Padre,
sia lode a Dio, il suo unico figlio,
sia lode a Dio, lo Spirito Santo,
sempre e per l'eternità!
