This stamp shows one of four sons of Bach, who became famous musicians: Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. He is sitting at the cembalo and playing while Frederick the Great is standing left of him with the flute. This stamp is one of only two worldwide showing one of Bach's even more famous sons around the time of Johann Sebastian's death. |
