I am listening to Elizabeth Schwartkopf sing BWV 199 and as always her lovely clean accurate voice mesmerizes me.

Based upon several things I have read herein I would like to purchase/listen to a recording of Ruth Holton - can anyone recommend a favorite?

[To George] Ruth Holton does BWV 199 for Leusink. It's in Volume 3 of the Cantata Series and, natch, available on our web site. She is good.

[To Eric Bergerud] Ruth Holton is on Sir John Eliot Gardiner's recordings of the SJP (BWV 245), and cantatas BWV 140 and BWV 147, .......some very nice singing there.

[To Bradley Lehman] Thanks to those who recommended the Gardiner BWV 140/BWV 147. I have found the recording to be available and I will get it. I could not listen to the Leusink/Holton BWV 199 on the groups website, as my slow dial-up will not play real audio successfully from this website.
