Cantata BWV 149 "Man singet mit Freuden vom Sieg" (Songs are sung with joy of victory) was composed by J.S. Bach in Leipzig for the Feast of St Michael and All Angels of 1728 or 1729. The cantata is scored for soprano, alto, tenor & bass soloists; 4-part Chorus; and orchestra of 3 trumpets, timpani, 3 oboes, bassoon, 2 violins, viola & continuo (+ violone).
