About the Artist (in her own words):
I uprooted from London to Cornwall eight years ago to pursue a more creative life. My days are now divided between painting, art history (writing & lecturing) and working in a gallery. My paintings are about capturing an atmosphere, the effects of colour, light and shadow. Architecture can provide the initial inspiration but I have recently returned to painting the figure. Acrylic is my favorite medium but I will mix it up with whatever it takes to tell the pictorial story.
