There is nothing like the new-fangled mechanical pencils you get at the office supply store...until you run out of lead (unpredictable) or the eraser gets nudged out of the top and disappears under the table.
That's why we offer the traditional pencil - you know when the lead is used up, and the eraser will never become separated. In fact, you might wear out the eraser before you get the lead out (sorry).
These pencils are perfect for kiddoes, on the clipboard in the garage where you right down what you need from the hardware store, or on a kitchen counter next to the tablet tablet where messages are written down and shopping lists developed - in other words, where anybody can beat the daylights out of it and that pencil will still work.
Well, unless the dog gets hold of it, but then anything is toast if the dog gets it.
