Der Stadtbrunnen von Weißenfels (City Fountain of Weissenfels)

Description:

In the context of the reorganisation of the Jüdenstraße, the town of Weißenfels received this city fountain, which was given in 2000 by the Aachen artist Bonifatius Stirnberg.
The appearance of the object with the many details is closely modeled on the city's history. At the fountain in Weißenfels, can be seen figures of the musicians J.S. Bach and Heinrich Schütz and the former Duke and Duchess, as well as a shoe worker at the quilting machine in memory of the city long tradition of shoe production, which collapsed after 1989. The limbs of the figures are also mobile.
