The German composer and teacher, Rudolf Petzold, was born in England to a German father and English mother. From 1930 to 1933 he was a pupil of Jamach at the Cologne Hochschule für Musik, where he taught in 1937-1938. After teaching at the Frankfurt am Main Hochschule für Musik in 1941-1942, he again taught at the Cologne Hochschule für Musik from 1946 to 1970, and was also its deputy director from 1960 to 1969. |
