Guy Maier (Arranger)

Born: August 15, 1891 - Buffalo, USA
Died: September 24, 1956 Santa Monica, California, USA

The American pianist and teacher, Guy Maier, studied at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, graduating in 1913, and with Artur Schnabel in Berlin in 1913-1914.

Guy Maier made his USA debut in Boston IN 1914. In addition to solo appearances, he also toured as a duo-pianist with Lee Pattison from 1916 to 1931. He taught at the University of Michigan from 1924 to 1931, the Juilliard School of Music in New York from 1935 to 1942, and the University of California in Los Angeles from 1946 to 1956.
