Gottlieb Benjamin Geier (Bach’s Pupil)

Born: May 1710 (baptised: May 23, 1710) - Eisleben, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany
Died: May 1762 (buried: May 17, 1762) - Eisleben, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany

Gottlieb Benjamin Geier was a German church musician. He studied theology at the vUnivesity of Leipzig, and was also a pupil of J.S. Bach in Leipzig between 1732 and 1737, after which he worked as Kantor in his native town, first at the Annenkirche, and from 1741 at the Nikolaikirche.
