Gottfried Heinrich Bach [48] (Musician)

Born: February 26, 1724 - Leipzig, Germany
Died: buried Febuary 12, 1763 - Naumburg, Germany

Gottfried Heinrich Bach [48] was the eldest son of J.S. Bach and Anna Magdalena Bach. Although he became feeble-minded at an early age, he played the keyboard well and, according to Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, he showed 'a great genius, which however failed to develop'. From 1750 he lived with his brother-in-law Johann Christoph Altnikol.
