History & Mission:

Bernhard Kerres, Georg Nigl, Luca Pianca and Wolfgang Mitterer decided to start a series of Bach-Cantatas in the 2008-2009 season with the mission to perform all sacral Bach-Cantatas in the Wiener Konzerthaus over the coming years. The Ensemble Claudiana consisting of excellent musicians was founded specially. Under the artistic guidance of Luca Pianca and Georg Nigl it has developed into one of the leading Bach-ensembles playing on original instruments. It is known for its lively and highly musical approach. The series is very popular with the audience and now an integral part of the program of the Wiener Konzerthaus.
