History & Mission:

The Festival Brikcius - the 4th chamber music concert series at the Stone Bell House & #BACH330 (Autumn 2015), is held annually under the auspices of the Mayor of Prague 1, Oldřich Lomecký and organized in partnership with the City Gallery Prague, in the exclusive location of the Stone Bell House in Prague's Old Town square.
The 4th annual festival will feature Czech cellist František Brikcius, composer and organist Irena Kosíková who lives in France, Czech cellist Anna Brikciusová and siblings cello chamber ensemble Duo Brikcius. The festival commemorates the 330th anniversary of the birth of J.S. Bach (the Art of Fugue, Cello Suites, Cello Sonatas) and presents music by Italian composers (Duo Brikcius & Baroque in Blood, Italian Baroque Music and Present).
Like previous projects (e.g. "eSACHERe", "MAKANNA", "Duo Brikcius - 2 Cellos Tour", "Weinberger Tour", "Festival Brikcius", ...), Festival Brikcius forms part of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days, which commemorate the legacy of Jewish journalist, musician Daniel Pearl, brutally murdered by group of terrorists for defending freedom of speech.
