The Swiss baritone, Tobias Wicky, received his first vocal training in Knabenkantorei Basel. After completing his undergraduate degree at the Musikhochschule Luzern, he continued his studies with Marcel Boone at the Musikhochschule Basel and completed in parallel, a Minor in historical performance practice with Rosa Domínguez at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He also attended various master-classes with Gerd Türk, Margreet Honig and Christoph Prégardien.
Tobias Wicky exerts an active concert career as a soloist and ensemble singer at home and abroad. His special interest is the Lieder and oratorio. He is a member of various professional ensembles such as the Chor der J.S. Bach-Stiftung St. Gallen, Kammerchor Stuttgart, Zürcher Sing-Akademie, Ensemble Corund Luzern , Ensemble Orlando Fribourg and Basler Madrigalisten.
Tobias Wicky is the founder of the Baroque ensemble Voces Suaves and co-founder of the initiated by Francesco Pedrini concert series Le Capitali della Musica in Zürich.
In addition to these activities Tobias Wicky directs the Männerchor Waldenburgertal (men's choir) and the Gemischten Chor Lampenber (mixed choir).
