Robert van der Vinne (Bass)

Born: The Netherlands

The Dutch bass, Robert van der Vinne, began his musical education in1988 at the Rotterdam Conservatorium, where he studied choral conducting with Barend Schuurman. In 1990 he began his vocal training at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam, where he achieved his diploma in 1995. His teachers were Margreet Honig and Maarten Koningsberger.

In addition to his solo career, which is mainly focused on the Lieder nd oratorio, Robert van der Vinne belongs since 1995 to the permanent staff of the Collegium Vocale Gent and La Chapelle Royale in Paris, both under the direction of by Philippe Herreweghe, which give concerts all over the world. In 2006, together with Klaas de Vries, he founded the Goethe Trio.
