Monica Talavera (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: Chihuahua, Mexico

The Mexican mezzo-soprano, Monica Alajendra Talavera Gallegos, studied at ITESM Campus Chihuahua in Chihuahua. She attended the. Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, and the Interlochen Arts Academy High School in Matatalaib, Tarlac, Philippines (Class of 2012). She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music in New York City as a student of Mignon Dunn (2012-2016); and currently studies at the same institute for her Master of Music degree in Classical Voice/Opera (2016-2018).

Monica Talavera was featured as a soloist for Manhattan School of Music Chamber Choir in J.S. Bach's B Minor Mass (BWV 232), under the direction of Kent Tritle (February 2014). She currently lives in New Yirk City.
