Stiftsbarock Stuttgart (Instrumental Ensemble)

Founded: 2011 - Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

From Ensemble 94 founded in 1994 by Kay Johannsen, developed in 2011 the new Ensemble Stiftsbarock Stuttgart. The professional members of the ensemble playing on period instruments have strong experience as soloists and in chamber music. First concert-master of the ensemble is Christine Busch, Professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. The ensemble is a permanent partner of the Solistenensemble Stimmkunst and participates regularly in the Bach Cantata Series Bach:vokal.
