Kyoto Soejima (Harpsichord)

Born: Japan

The Japanese harpsichordist, Kyoko Soejima, studied at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow, Russia and at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo, Japan. She was semi-finalist at the Concours International d’Execution Musicale in Geneva, Switzerland in 2008; medalist at the Maria Canals International Music Competition in Barcelona, Spain in 2008; and won 2^nd prize at the 11^th International Maria Yudina Piano Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2009.

Performance highlights include: Concerto with Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan in 2004; recitals in Saga and Kirishima, Japan and Moscow, Russia in 2008; and a recital in Barcelona, Spain in 2009.
