Born: 1944 - Germany

Heinz-Walter Schmitz was second cathedral organist in Cologne from 1972 to 1975, and from 1976 Domkantor in Passau. Since 2000 he is the director of the Referates Kirchenmusik in Bischöflichen Seelsorgeamt Passau. He composed Oratorium über Edith Stein, Matthäus Passion, and other works.
