Chor der Sängerschaft Schwaben Stuttgart (Choir)

Founded: 19^th century - Stuttgart, Germany

The Chor der Sängerschaft Schwaben has a long tradition, is as old as the Sängerschaft itself, so has its roots in 19^th Century. The choir performs some of the classical works, but modern pieces from the fields of jazz, musical and other pieces from the 20^th Century are also on the programme, a successful blend of timeless and modern pieces. The choir was originally a student choir, and it continues to be so even today. However, the choir's circle extended meanwhile also to number of non-students.
