Chor der Sängerschaft Schwaben Stuttgart (Choir)

Founded: 19th century - Stuttgart, Germany

The Chor der Sängerschaft Schwaben has a long tradition, is as old as the Sängerschaft itself, so has its roots in 19th Century. The choir performs some of the classical works, but modern pieces from the fields of jazz, musical and other pieces from the 20th Century are also on the programme, a successful blend of timeless and modern pieces. The choir was originally a student choir, and it continues to be so even today. However, the choir's circle extended meanwhile also to number of non-students.
